David Elia
The Chief Executive Officer of HOSTPLUS is David Elia. Joining HOSTPLUS in March 1999, David was promoted to Executive Officer in June 2000, before being formally appointed as Chief Executive Officer in September 2003. Prior to his work with HOSTPLUS, David worked at KPMG and Jacques Martin Industry Funds Administration (JMIFA) - now Superpartners.
A qualified Chartered Accountant, David is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Financial Services Institute of Australia. He is also a member of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST), and a Director of the Fund Executives Association Limited (FEAL). FEAL named David as the 2004 Fund Executive of the Year.
Directors
The activities of HOSTPLUS Executive are managed by HOSTPLUS Pty Ltd (Host-Plus Pty Limited) (ABN 79 008 634 704). The trustee Board has equal representation from employer (nominated by the AHA) and employee (nominated byUnited Voice) organisations, plus three independent directors jointly selected by the AHA and United Voice. The board represents the fund’s members in accordance with the HOSTPLUS Trust Deed, superannuation law and ensures that HOSTPLUS meets Federal Government requirements for the fair and safe operation of the fund.
