Troy Burton was elected Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union (LHMU) Assistant National Secretary in 2007.
Troy brings extensive experience in the union movement to the position. He has worked in a variety of union campaigns and some very challenging workplace environments. Before joining the LHMU he worked with the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU), the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) in the USA.
