Changes to declared net fund earning rates and switching

Switching between investment options is easy and free

With HOSTPLUS, you're not locked into an investment option once you've made a choice. Switching is easy and free.

From May 2009, you can switch between investment options as often as once a week without charge. When you switch, your request will become effective on the following Monday.

You can indicate your switch online through Supersite - your online super account - or by completing the Investment Choice Form and sending it to us.

Declared net fund earning rates

From May 2009 HOSTPLUS has moved from monthly declared net fund earnings to weekly declared net fund earnings.

A transitional period will apply in moving from monthly to weekly declared net fund earning rates. The first weekly declared net fund earning rate will be for the period 1 May to 10 May.

This means that any investment switches for this period will have an effective date of 11 May with a net fund earning rate published on 19 May.

Ceasing of interim net fund earning rates

With the introduction of weekly declared net fund earning rates, interim rates will no longer apply and are replaced by the latest declared net fund earning rate.
