Expanding national footprint

HOSTPLUS has today announced the opening of new offices in Darwin and Parramatta, to cater for continued growth in these areas.

For local employers, the new offices will provide a personal service on the ground, allowing them to develop a greater understanding of their superannuation responsibilities and requirements.
David Elia, HOSTPLUS CEO, said “The decision to establish an office in these markets is in response to continued growth for the Fund, and will enable us to offer the highest level of service to employers and members in these regions.

“A local office in Darwin and Parramatta additionally provides a platform for further growth which enables HOSTPLUS Executive to deliver even more long-term value to members, by achieving greater economies of scale,” he said.

The Darwin office gives HOSTPLUS Executive a presence in every state and territory in Australia. It is also an area of potential growth for HOSTPLUS, where the tourism and hospitality industries are major local employers.

Through its Parramatta office the Fund is looking to expand its service offering particularly for those employers and members working within the licensed clubs industries.

The decision follows a recent announcement by HOSTPLUS to open its first customer-facing branch on the Gold Coast which is scheduled to open in July. The co-branded, full service branch with ME Bank will provide the Gold Coast community with low cost, award-winning financial services in a face to face environment.

It is also an important initiative because, for many people, superannuation is seen as a complex product and until now, employers and members have not had a face to face environment in which to interact with their superannuation fund.

While the Darwin and Parramatta offices won’t be customer facing, they will provide a base from which HOSTPLUS Executive employees can better service employers and members in the Northern Territory and New South Wales.
